Sometimes it's just the simple things
~A flash of red, a cardinal's wings~
That lift my spirit quite as high
As birds aloft in heaven's sky.
Unfettered joys are unsurpassed;
My soul finds elbowroom at last!

ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous photo too. While I was in Ontario last month, I saw several cardinals, but was unable to get a quality shot. Another time, perhaps.
"Another time, perhaps." I missed a shot of a flock of white pelicans when I was in Cedar Key.
ReplyDeleteIt broke my heart. Couldn't find them again the rest of the day. And so, "Another time, perhaps."
I actually haven't seen many cardinals here - once a year, maybe. I was glad to have seen this one in time to snap it.
